As long as any college you attend is regionally accredited it should be accepted by potential employers and other academic institutions. That having been said not all online colleges have the same reputation just as not all campus colleges have the same reputation. But there is nothing about the college being online that makes it inherently viewed negatively by companies. In fact many colleges do not indicate whether a degree was earned online or in person.
My main recommendation would be to contact a number of regionally accredited schools to find the best fit for you and which offers the best financial aid package. I definitely would not simply enroll in University of Phoenix because they keep sending you info. Too often people enroll in the first college they find without taking the small amount of time to do a little research to find the best program. The beauty of taking classes online is that you are not limited by geography.
This site has some good information on accredited online degrees and some colleges to help expand your search beyond Phoenix:

You can fill out your contact information on there and the schools will contact you with more info and be able to answer any questions you may have.
