If you flunked the fifth grade and want an academic scholarship to college. Is it possible? Do only high school grades count for an academic college scholarship, or can you still get an academic college scholarship even though you flunked the fifth grade?
Or can you even get an athletic college scholarship if you fail the 5th grade or not?

They normally only ask for high school transcripts, so I’m sure you’re fine.
Normally only high school counts. But you should still get your act together now instead of later than you can have a better shot at a scholarship
You should be ok. The only transcripts colleges look at are your high school transcripts. As long as you’ve maintained good academic standing from 9th grade on up you will be just fine. Academic scholarships; however, can be very difficult to get even if you have the best grades. Also, I don’t know what type of athletic scholarship you’re thinking about, but those can be tough to secure as well. Start applying for them as soon as possible. Also, you will want to fill out a FAFSA as soon as you get accepted and enrolled at your college of choice. This will let you know how much financial aid you qualify for (sometime you can get loans or grants to cover your education as well). Just know that scholarships aren’t your only option
as long as you earned a scholarship through hard work in high school, how you did in middle school shouldn’t affect you. if anything, it is an example of overcoming adversity and making the best of a situation.
Good luck!
I don’t think what happened in grammar school matters to colleges. They’ll only look at your performance in high school.
