when your not even applying for a sport scholarship. Is it true that if i for instance want to get into engineer and I’m on a swim team will it help me get that college.

Well it’s an extracurricular and shows you’re well rounded. Most schools are looking for that, so it HELPS, but it won’t get you in the door, but it’s a help. If you’re actually decent in your sport that could bring you entry into the school, scholarship offers or if you walk-on the varsity team for the school you could actually earn a scholarship.
