How do you obtain a Government Grant?

So, I’ve recently graduated earlier this year. I’ve taken time off to shake off the lull of high school and just sit a while. You know, for resting purposes and to basically figure out what I want to do.

So, about a few months later and a lot of thinking, I’ve found out what I want in a career and on the way I’ve found a university to teach me what I need to learn to obtain that career. But…college tuition and dues are steep. Even with the few Scholarships that I’ve gotten here and there.

And at first I thought that maybe I would have to put my plans on hold. That is until I found out about a thing called Government Grants. From what I know about it, I know that these grants come from the government for the use of such things as: paying for college, buying small businesses, and basic repair in the event of damages. What I don’t know is…well…how to get one.

Can anyone help?

Who offers government grants for single working mothers?

Most of the websites I’ve visited seem to be scams asking you to purchase their book and information. I believe if there are grants out there, no one should have to pay for this information or to apply. If you know of any legitamit free grant programs for single parents, single mothers, teachers, low income home owners, etc….please let me know.
I am a single mother with 2 children solely supporting our household on a full time low income budget. (TSS worker) Paying bills and the mortgage has become unbearable due to the courts terminating the support I use to receive for my daughter. Her father could afford a corrupt lawyer using her support payments, and I had to go bankrupt. I also qualify and am presently receiving food stamps and other low income help from utility companies, school, etc. My other child’s father is in and out of drug rehabs and prison, so getting support from him via the court system has been a joke for the past 14 yrs. Please help if you can. Thanks so much. :

Should this government give medical students more scholarships or some incentive?

We need more efficient (not overworked) medical staff.
So nurses and doctors would not work overtime and make so many mistakes with patients.
If someone
is allergic its on the chart…They need to read the charts….many don’t seem to..That is only one of the many problems in hospitals .
I have had problems and many other I know.
Sometimes I just don’t make sense :>) It was late at night …

In all the Years Obama has been alive,. can anyone tell me when he has never been dependent on Government aid. ?

From His youngest days in growing up. to his College (all affirmative action). To his so called Community Oraganizing, Grants paid his
way in that venue. To sucking off of the hind teet of Ill government.

To taking state money from the Teaching at U of Chicago.

Then he went on Federal Welfare as a Senator.
to now living in Public Housing.

Can this guy not break the cycle.
As far as Military go’s Never is it federal
aid or welfare. Our soliders, sailors, airman, Marines and coast guard, pay for it wth their lives if needed. They are
not some limp wristed whining liberal
sitting behind a desk worrying about a
paper cut or hang nail.

a dime. Their already stealing more than

My teacher told me about “Small Business Administration” (SBA), that supposively gives you money and helps you start your business. We were talking about me wanting to start my own restaurant and she was telling me that SBA helps people like me and that I should research about it and use it
Well I am excited cuz I really want to start my own business.. but How does this work?
Is it actually free money? Please give me Information.. especially if you’ve tried this..

What grants/benefits from the Government can I receive for going to College?

I was wondering what Grants and Financial benefits I can receive when doing a Teacher Training Course for a college full time. I am 19 years old and currently living with parents, I have no kids or anything else.

I know there is ALG – Adult Learning Grants, but I was wondering if I qualify for anything else which I can recieve money from.

I heard a few weeks ago about a government plan to forgive student loan debt (U.S.) by teaching in a foreign country or something like that? is this plan in existence or is there something like it? ty.

How do feel about the government eliminating the middleman when it comes to student loans?

I can’t believe there are some people for this.

I am not for this and here are some reasons why:

It will eliminate more jobs in the private sector.

The government taking over student loans from the banks (cutting out the middleman) was never about the money. It is about control. Banks were indifferent about who got the money and which school the student was going to and what field of study the student was going into.

The government now has control over these decisions and I guarantee if the government doesn’t like how a school teaches or a students field of study, a student’s political affiliation or maybe even their race then these students will not get funding. It is just another redistribution of wealth scheme and a continuation of getting control of the youth of america.

Are there any government programs that assist low income graduates re-pay student loans?
