I have a B.A. in psychology and would like to become a High School Counselor. Is a graduate degree in Educational psychology the way to go. I really want my Masters degree but want to make sure i am headed in the right direction. I do not want to be a school psychologist, i am interested in being a School Counselor.

The M.Ed. (Master of Education) is generally for individuals who wish to pursue a teaching/training career, or for those individuals who wish to make their career in the education arena (administrator, etc.). I can see where you might think the M.Ed. would work for you, but have you looked at the M.A. as well? At the college I attend, we offer an M.A. in Educational Psychology, not an M.Ed. However, all colleges are different so you might be able to find one that offers the M.Ed. in your area of interest.
